Chico, CA Wedding Photography | Emily and Peter's Wedding | The Details

So, back in September I had the honor to capture the amazing wedding of Emily and Peter in Forest Lake, Minnesota.  Pretty much this entire wedding was DIY (Do It Yourself).  The bride and her two bridesmaids Jen and Cassie did everything from the brooch bridal bouquet (you know how much I love brooch bouquets) to the paper bridesmaids bouquets to the moss flower girl kissing balls to the reception centerpieces.  These ladies are amazing!

For that reason alone I just had to do a specific detail post from this wedding to share the amazingness of Emily and Peter's wedding.  It rocked!  More to come soon!

Love the dress... LOVE the stained glass
The bride's bouquet is homemade with sheet music paper flowers, meaningful brooches, and a memorial brooch of Emily's mom taken on her own wedding day.  The bouquet is not just unique, it's extremely meaningful for Emily.
This brides sure does love Star Wars (you'll see Star Wars pop up again later).  I initially missed this little pin in her bouquet when I was first capturing it and spotted it during the receiving line.  Subtle but so meaningful for the bride.
Love, love, love these homemade paper flower bouquets for the bridesmaids.  The were made using old sheet music and brooches that were meaningful to the lady who would carry it down the aisle.  Each bouquet was different.
The groomsmen bouts.
I really love these moss kissing balls carried by the flower girls.
The custom made ring bearer pillow included charms that were meaningful to the bride and groom.
I just had the include this moment.  It was taken just a few minutes are the bride's images above where the flower girl was mimicking her by looking and posing in the mirror.  Unfortunately she saw me coming before I could take the picture, but it's still one of the most adorable images from the day.

The Reception Decor...
These are homemade chocolates.  I didn't get a chance to eat any myself but I'm told they were amazing.
See, I told you the bride loves her Star Wars!  This is probably my favorite cake topper of all time.  And if you recall the amazing zombie cake topper from last year, that's saying a lot!

The details only tell a bit of this story.  The rest is coming up in a few days as I present to you "The Cast" of Emily and Peter's wedding.
